“The new Yazoo packet - Capt. J. C. Reeves’ new steamer CHARM, built for the Vicksburg and Yazoo River trade, made her appearance yesterday morning with a full freight for New Orleans. In all that appertains to the construction of a good and comfortable boat there has been nothing left undone and Capt. Reeves deserves much credit for bringing out such a perfect and elegant steamer…..

 

 “Her cabin has been furnished with all the requisites necessary to comfort. Her tableware, a silver service and chandeliers are of the very best materials…. "
